"When the package arrived its contents seemed so dry, coughed up from a choked earth, staved of water, starved of life. This thirst and need for renewal became the central compositional focus – an overall cycle of water to stone, a journey from liquid to solid."
Hands of Sand is the second contributor in the Odomez Serie. I sent Mark a gathering of objects found in Odomez.
For Odomez was such a strange place when it came to objects. Due to pollution, waste, accumultation, isolation, a LOT of objects were randomly gathered, dug in, everywhere ! and always out of place, of course, for Odomez was "no" place.
The Hands Of Sand recording is beautiful. As for artwork, I used my serie of photographs called "Temporary", made in Odomez by engraving stalagmites.
